PULLISHERRY ( BUTTERMILK in COCONUT GRAVY)



I could just eat rice with some pickle and this gravy,so refreshing and light on you.Think i will make it tomorrow
INGREDIENTS:
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Coconut  – 2 tbsps
  • Jeera / cumin pwd – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric pwd – ¼ tsp
  • Chilli pwd – ¼ tsp
  • Cloves of garlic – 2
  • Ginger – ¼ ‘(opt)
  • Shallots- 2
  • Fenugreek pwd – a pinch
  • Salt – as req




METHOD:
  1. Into a blender add all the ingredients except chilli pwd .
  2. To this add 1 cup water and blend at full speed for 5 mins till the gravy is watery and coconut is completely ground.
  3. In a pan crackle some mustard seeds,add curry leaves,and the chilli pwd and very soon pour in the blended mixture keeping in mind that the chilli pwd doesn’t get burned.
  4. Keep on low flame stirring continuously ,seeing to it that the curd doesn’t curdle.
  5. If the curd curdles the gravy cannot be used.
  6. Remove from flame after 2 mins of cooking and serve with rice.
